Steller's sea eagle. We finally found it.
Pelagic Cormorant. Different from Japanese cormorant, this bird is almost completely black, even to its bill.
Common Goldeneye. This bird’s head is really deep green, but in the weak afternoon sunlight it looks just black when we took photos.
Marsh Tit and Hardy kiwi. We wanted to eat hardy kiwis like this bird, but they were not within our reach.
White-backed Woodpecker. We used to think there was no problem with cutting down dead trees, but when we saw birds getting food from dead trees, we realized that it is not that simple.
Harlequin duck. Athough these birds are common in Hokkaido in winter, it is still nice to see them for the first time.
If we look at the ocean with the nakey eye, we can just see the ocean.
But if we look with binoculars or a spotting scope, we will be surprised to see a lot of seabirds.
